A new purpose built rooftop bar in Exhibition Street allows patrons to mingle in the tree tops all year round.

Nestled into the surrounding tree canopy and perched on top of the long established European Bier Cafe, Aer Bar features warm finishes and mature plantings which create an inviting open space in the midst of the urban fabric of Melbourne’s CBD.

The main bar is covered by a pitched cathedral ceiling with operable skylights offering glimpses of the clear skies above. A rusted steel frame with retractable awnings sits above the open bar area, with clear blinds dropping to enclose the area. Slimline panel heaters and two fireplaces create a cosy atmosphere that functions seamlessly in the depths of winter.

A bamboo timber floor cuts into the blue stone tiled deck to soften the entry, whilst iron planter towers and a landscaped facades reflect the greenery along Exhibition Street. Recycled wrought iron gates add interest and detail to the stone topped bar, and back lit reclaimed timber box shelves provide additional ambiance. The long timber island bars provide the perfect platform for spectacular views of the city and the perfect place for a pint.
