High & Spring is set on a unique elevated corner site, with views over iconic Malvern Gardens. The raw and tactile material palette emulates seasonal changes, evolving and maturing with time.
The facade has a commanding presence with concrete forms rising from the ground and articulating a modernist line. Copper, reclaimed timber and textured render add layers of warmth and tactility, reflecting the character and tones of the surrounding urban fabric. The threshold between exterior and interior is blurred with floor to ceiling glazing, providing expansive views to leafy surrounds, while operable timber screening offers both privacy and protection from the elements. Generous outdoor living spaces, softened with lush landscaped gardens provide residents with a tranquil space to connect with nature.
The architectural composition translates internally, with a contemporary interior palette that is rich in character. The raw elegance of marble benchtops and wide plank natural oak flooring sets the tone of effortless refinement. Tonal porcelain chevron tiling to bathrooms adds a layer of subtle patterning, while black metalwork traces a contrasting, minimalist line. Copper lighting crafted by local designer Ross Gardam, and bespoke timber joinery detailing adds an artisanal quality to each home. The natural material palette extends throughout the lobby spaces and communal wine cellar. Private wine cabinets line the perimeter of this intimate space, while a central custom high bar table provides residents with the unique opportunity to engage as a community, and entertain family and friends.
