The architectural expression of slipping planes framing two expansive trees has informed a unique connection and interaction of the built form with the landscape on this significant corner site.
Shortlisted – IDEA Awards 2020
The building has an inherent confidence, with bold forms captured in robust materials. The façade features raw concrete, natural timber and charcoal standing seam metal cladding, projecting a contemporary aesthetic. Angle profile balustrades and screening elements provide a layer of privacy and sense of retreat to balconies and vast terraces, softened with layers of lush planting.
A triple height void defines the building entry, enhancing the connection between the surrounding environment and internal spaces. The interior design is treated as an extension of the architecture, with monolithic forms crafted in quality materials including natural stone, timber and tailored metalwork. The design outcome has a sense of refinement and luxury while feeling homely with a timeless, enduring aesthetic.
