The Cornish Arms Hotel is a local favourite and the design for the new rooftop needed to reflect the rustic and relaxed feel of the existing pub.
Perched atop the heritage building, 180 degree sweeping views of Melbourne’s skyline set the scene for the 90 seat rooftop bar. The mix of ship-lap cladding, a steel frame structure with retractable roof and composite decking are complimented by the retro inspired colour palette, custom lighting and bar shelving, recycled roof tile bar front, and seventies striped canvas lawn chairs and seating. Two mature trees were craned up to create a lush green setting for this nostalgic revamp.
